North Kansas City Hospital Wants Women to Think Pink

Visit the free Think Pink Breast Wellness Fair to help women learn about protecting themselves against breast cancer from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, Shops at Boardwalk, I-29 and Barry Road. Plus, enjoy free chair massages and personal fitness consultations. The first 100 attendees receive a tote bag filled with goodies and two Kansas City Symphony tickets while 30 lucky totes contain $10 to $50 gift cards. Think Pink is sponsored by North Kansas City Hospital and the Shops at Boardwalk.

The event is for women of all ages. North Kansas City Hospital health experts will discuss the latest diet and lifestyle recommendations to help reduce the risk of breast cancer; demonstrate the correct method for breast self-examination, one of the first lines of defense in detection; and show the importance of digital mammography to detect breast cancer. “We hope to educate women about things they can do to help prevent breast cancer and increase awareness about treatment options and overall health,” says Robyn Hiatt, coordinator of the event for North Kansas City Hospital.

For more information about the Think Pink Breast Wellness Fair, call the Hospital’s Outreach Services Department at (816) 691-1688.
