NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care is hosting a free open house for the new Lifetime Legacy Video Project Lab from 1-5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, first floor, Health Center North, 2900 Clay Edwards Drive on the North Kansas City Hospital campus. Lifetime Legacy is a unique project led by NorthCare Hospice volunteers where they produce videos to chronicle hospice patients’ lives through photos, music and special effects. The patient and family receive the video at no cost. “The finished product is the most precious, forever gift which is cherished by the family,” says Cindy Hoffecker, volunteer coordinator for NorthCare.

The open house will provide a tour of the lab where the equipment is used to produce the videos and is an opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to learn more details.
